Baby CPR & First Aid for Parents

The skills you hope never to use

Most parents will never need to use infant CPR. But the few minutes before help arrives are the minutes that matter, and knowing exactly what to do in those minutes changes everything – including how calm you feel every ordinary day in between.

SR Adéle teaches this the way she teaches everything else: practically, calmly and without frightening anyone. You will practise, not just watch.

What we cover

Infant and child CPR, step by step and hands-on with a manikin. What to do if your baby or toddler chokes. How to recognise when a child is in trouble and act quickly. Everyday first aid – burns, falls, bumped heads, nosebleeds, fever and febrile convulsions. When to phone an ambulance and what to say. And how to put together a sensible home and car first aid kit.

Who should attend

Expectant and new parents, grandparents, nannies and au pairs, aunts and uncles, and anyone who regularly looks after a small child. Many families book a session together so that everyone caring for the baby knows the same thing.

How the session runs

Small groups, plenty of practice time and no jargon. You will work through each skill until it feels familiar, and you will leave with a simple summary you can stick on the fridge. Questions are encouraged throughout – especially the ones that feel silly.
